Show recent Threads?

I have my root forum locked so only sub forums show up on the main page.

Is there anyway to have a list of recent threads that's been added to any of the sub forums?! So that it shows up on the index page.

At this time, no, sorry. You could use a service like Yahoo pipes to combine the individual RSS feeds for each sub-forum into one combined one or just subscribe to all of the sub-forums in your aggregator, since only what's new will show anyway.
