RE[1]: Game idea: Nastria

theraje

Doing the game idea as a review is a nice touch.

It seems to me very retro in many ways... the Roguelike save/load feature... the Valhalla "Massively Monoplayer Offline RPG" angle... the isometric view plane...

The part where you have to play multiple characters to accomplish your goal is familiar too. It's been done a number of ways (from cooperative stuff like Lost Vikings, to the Wild Arms "play three different characters to Point X where they meet for the first time"). I think the way you have presented it is kind of a mesh of those two.

Of course, this game sounds like those, but there is also the perception that it is on a much, much larger scale, maybe along the lines of Oblivion.

The "technomancer" aspect along with being able to program it sounds interesting... that's the Robot Odyssey fan in me. :)

(I'm mainly making statements of fact, with a perhaps-unavoidable touch of opinion. I want to avoid spoiling the pot before we get more entries and/or the contest deadline, so don't read between my lines too much.)
