What are we going to do about these forums being so quiet? It appears that as much traffic as I do get, it is almost entirely worthless and based around VfE.
Any suggestions? I’m all for organic growth, but this is going nowhere.

I'm reading everything you people say! But I don't have anything nice to contribute to the discussions. Therefore just lurking here and reading your posts. I even follow this forum with google reader!
PS: Any hopes to get Chrome + pastebug fixed for replies? :)
I am doing exactly what oldtimes is doing, exactly the same way, I'm even using Google reader too!
For now perhaps I might provide some suggestions for this forum and introduce some of my HTML + CSS pet peeves (I'll create another post for that).
I am saying I'm going to do those things, but it's not because of this message, I was thinking of doing them before.
I'm always tempted to post web development things here or there, but then I keep telling myself that this isn't a web development forum, it's not a support forum, etc. i.e. it's not a forum that tries to be anything. If I posted everything that came to my mind, I'm guessing it would probably end up steering this forum in only one direction.
I'm not sure, maybe people are confused (for lack of a better word) that it differs from conventional forums by not have a central topic of any sort?
You can post what you want, web-development included, but if we don't have enough readers there's not going to be enough diversity of topics nor enough replies. So it's not what you're doing that's any wrong, I think there's simply not enough people passing through for the forum to find its groove.
Just wanted to throw in that I’m still around as well. Just been busy. I have, like many others so it seems, been using these remarkable RSS files that power the forum to keep myself posted.
I'm lurking too! Except I actually visit the website :P I always seem to have trouble finding topics that I'll fit into :/ and I've been a bit distracted trying to teach myself C++ haha
I'm reading almost everything, but I'm almost always too occupied with work &c. to take the time to write something. There's a bunch of things I'd like to ask you all, but I'm always too busy. :(
I'd guess a lot of potential readers are scared of by the Theme, aside from being awesome in general, it's a bit hard to read.

Don't think the theme is a huge problem.
Also; I would assume a lot of visitors are "lurkers" (I know I am). Mainly reading posts, and not posting content.
Not sure why I don't contribute that much myself, I used to be a huge forum-addict. (Got 10 000 posts on a forum). However, when I visits forums I don't feel the same compulsion to reply or start new discussions anymore.
