I have heard people crying a lot about RSS dying. If all browser makers started hiding the rss symbol it might happen! But, for now it is safe. Yeah, it won't hit mainstream. But, it will continue to have users.

Btw, you didn't even mention Opera, which has an excellent RSS reader with all essential features like offline reading, folders and search.
