Thanks for your reply @Kroc . Safety is important, of course. I was not hoping for an upload feature, merely an option to hotlink, e.g. to imgur. Limiting to certain modes sounds reasonable. Unfortunately, I am not a programmer (just a sysadmin). I thought there might be a way to extend the markup but it seems it's only possible by hacking the source?
