Great thread!

First, I can't absolutely stand self closing tags without XHTML notation.
~~~
For me, this is a programatical choice. If I don’t use XHTML tags then I am preventing someone else from easily parsing my content, mashing it up, and displaying it elsewhere (potentially as real XML).
~~~
Second, I can't absolutely stand seeing line breaks when the appropriate thing to use are paragraph tags
~~~
Argh! That’s a bug. I hate that too and coded regex to use proper paragraph tags but there was a bug being caused by the difference between Windows and UNIX encoding. New posts will now use <p> tags. Thanks for spotting this Jose!
Code doesn’t annoy me too much, what usually annoys me is the stupid decisions people make before they write any code, like choosing to use JavaScript to solve a problem instead of trying HTML first. Gargh. Hate hate hate mis/overuse of JavaScript. It’s why I wrote VfE, because a rash of players were coming out that required JavaScript to insert a freeking HTML tag that could have just been hardcoded into the HTML, like, you know, where it’s supposed to go.
I also hate anybody who puts the opening brace on the next line :P
function a ()
{
...
}
What is the point of that!
I hate single line CSS. Single line CSS is for Dreamweaver coders and machine written code. No real sane developer writes a thousand line long CSS file with each property on a separate line and actually maintains it.
